Why We Give: From Gratitude to Global Impact

Growing up in Jamshedpur, India, Deepali and I experienced firsthand how transformative education can be. We both came from modest, middle-class families. There were no shortcuts, only opportunity when it was given. Scholarships, fellowships, and financial aid didn’t just help us study; they opened doors to lives we could once only imagine. For me, that journey led from IIT Delhi to MIT, and eventually into a career building technology companies that impact millions.

But we never forgot where it all began.

The Amit & Deepali Sinha Foundation was created out of deep gratitude, for the systems and people who believed in us early on. Our mission is to pay that forward. We empower people and ideas to transform education and healthcare worldwide, supporting those who might not otherwise have a path forward.

We do this through merit-based fellowships for exceptional students, scholarships for those facing financial hardship, investments in innovative healthcare initiatives, and funding for breakthrough research in areas like AI, cybersecurity, and quantum computing. We support programs close to our hearts and our homes, both in the U.S., where we live and work, and in India, where our journey began.

This Foundation is not about legacy. It’s about impact. It’s about investing in people who will go on to change the world, and maybe, one day, turn around and do the same for someone else.

Thank you for joining us in this journey. There’s so much more to come.
